What's Up Wednesday

It's Wednesday! HOORAY :D Come and join in What's Up Wednesday at Jaime and Erin's blogs ^_^

What I'm Reading

Finished No Harm Can Come To A Good Man. I really liked it.  It has a great central concept - what if we could use an app to predict everything in our lives.  Saying more would spoil it.

Now I'm reading Will Hill's Department 19 on my Kindle.  It's slow going though because HELLO WRITE ON CON! So many amazing books on offer over there!!!! Link me to your posts if I haven't commented on them yet! SHOW ME YOUR WORDS!!!

What I'm Writing

I'm going to cover this in the next section more, but my WiP is up to 40k :D

What Else I'm Up To

So I went on a writing retreat on Sunday in Brighton.  Six hours of writing. It was AWESOME! :D I wrote 10,000 words. Yes. 10,000 words.

Wow, if I could do that daily, NaNoWriMo would be easy!

What Inspires Me

By 6pm tonight, I will have officially survived THE SCHOOL SUMMER HOLIDAYS!

Finally, I can get back to my violin lessons! YAY!

Have a great week everyone!

  8. 10,000 words in a day is awesome. I have no idea what my own record is, though I know my longest chapter, "Union with a Snake," in my second Russian novel, is a bit over 17,000 words written over the course of three days. I'm still proud when I think of it.

  11. YAHOO to surviving summer break and getting back some of your me-time. I have never written 10000 words in one day and can't even imagine how great that would feel. You could nanowrimo in less than a week. I'm thunderstruck at the thought. Have a great week!

    1. Mentally, it was great. Physically? Hello epic RSI!

LOL, I could, but I'm not sure I could pull off five 10k days without doing myself serious harm :P You never know though...

  16. 10K in one day?? Oh my heavens. My body aches just thinking about it. But hey, congratulations; that's no mean accomplishment.

Also, I only ever hear the word "Brighton" in Lydia Bennet's voice (Julia Sawalha).
