What's Up Wednesday!

Yeah, we've reached that time of the week! What's Up Wednesday is a great bloghop hosted by Jaime and Erin. Stop by their blogs and join in!

 What I'm Reading

The good news is I finished Vortex and it really picked up at the end.  The set up for the 3rd book was brilliant. Now, I really should choose something from my rather large TBR pile...

There's more on my Kindle...

...This might be an image of addiction...

What I'm Writing

I've decided to focus mainly on Space!Story's edit because once I started, I remembered how much I love it! I'm going to write scenes for EvilBuilding!Story too, just to keep the idea ticking over, but for now, it's all hands to edit stations!

What Else I'm Up To

^_^

Oh, and buying an extra bookshelf when what I really need is jeans. I reaaaaaaaally need new jeans ^^;

What Inspires Me

Thanks to Bioshock, I'm on a real old-timey music kick:

YEAH IT SOUNDS GREAT UNTIL THE BIG DADDY COMES TO GET YOU.

Have a fantastic week everyone! :D

  1. I just got new jeans! Yay jeans. :) (I'm horribly cheap though and just buy ASDA's ones, haha.)

    Good luck with the edit. Your editing set-up looks awesome.

    1. I'm rubbish at buying jeans because finding a pair that actually fit me is, apparently, nearly impossible...

      Thanks! It makes me feel super high tech :P

  2. Haha, I'm always buying books or shelving or something instead of new clothes. I've been wearing the same two pairs of shorts most of the summer.... Oh well. I love books to much to put fashion first I guess. My TBR pile is massive too. Its more like an entire shelf and a pile and a few books tucked around the house not to mention an insane amount of ebooks that I pick up on sale.

    1. Yeah, I have 2 pairs of jeans to live in and as I work with children, I need at least one extra pair ^^;

      I love books more than fashion too! XD

  3. Book > clothes = any day of the week! :)

    Good luck with your edits! Though working on SpaceStory sounds like a lot more fun.

    Hope you have a fantastic week! :)

    1. Space!Story is so much fun to work on XD

      While I absolutely love books (and am heading out to buy another one soon!), I am in desperate, desperate need of clothes ^^;

      Thanks, you too!

  4. Thankfully, I have a wife who makes sure I'm decently attired. I'd be sitting amongst a large pile of books in smelly rags otherwise. :) And well done for sticking with a book for 200 pages to get to the "good bit." I'm sure the author would appreciate that (though I'm sure the author thinks the 200 preceding pages were good, too!). Many would have given up by then. :)

    Have a great writing/editing week, Cole. :)

    1. Yeah, I'm not a fan of padding a book out, and 70% was padding... and then it got really good! Like reaaaaaaally good. Just a shame it took so much work to get there.

      And you, Colin!

  5. Jeans shmeans. I'd buy a new bookcase too! :P (Nice bookcase, by the way!) I won't show you my picture of addiction. It's way too embarrassing. O_o That's fantastic that Space!Story is reminding you how much you love it! I love when that happens. I think sometimes it just takes being away from something for a little bit, then returning and being surprised by it. I've been on an old-timey music kick too. Mostly Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Django Reinhardt, Count Basie... Love it! Have a wonderful week, Cole! :-)

    1. Thanks!

      I love Space!Story so much, which is probably why writing and editing it hasn't been particularly bothersome.

      Loooove me some Ella Fitzgerald :D

      Thanks! Have a great week yourself, Jaime!

  6. And I really need a new bookcase! But unfortunately my flat isn't the TARDIS. No room whatsoever.

    Good luck with your editing!

  7. I think it's AWESOME that you reread a story and fell in love with it all over again. And yay for new bookshelves! I have a way too large TBR pile too. SO many good books to read!

    1. Thank you! It's so exciting to be working on it again! :D

      There are so many good books, aren't there? I never normally have such a big TBR pile but I intend to make a big dent in it this month.

  8. I really need to buy a new bookcase myself. I took a lot of books out of storage at my ex's parents' house recently, and they need to go somewhere besides boxes and piles.

    1. Yeah, mine were in piles all over the place and it's good to finally give them all a home... weeeeell, most of them. There are a few still in storage boxes...

  9. Having to many books to read is such a wondeful problem to have. Good luck meeting your writing goals next week.

    1. Yay indeed! But I reaaaaaally need to sort myself out with some jeans for winter ^^;

  13. New jeans probably are advisable seeing as you can't wear a bookshelf, though you might be able to paste together a nice skirt out of some book pages. :P

    Good luck with the edits on Space!Story. It could be a challenge prying yourself away from that awesome stack of books though!

    Yay for editing! I'm doing the same right now. Keep it up!

  18. Oh man I love all the old time music in Bioshock. I didn't play it myself (especially not the first one...too creepy for me), but my husband did. I'm always amazed you can work on more than one story at a time. Hope you get some good writing time in this weekend!

    1. It's such an amazing game. I'm going to play the newest one when I complete this round of edits :D

      I think it's because I get bored while editing so writing something keeps me on my toes ^_^
