What's Up Wednesday! MISS COLE RETURNS!!!!!!

Phew, sure is good to be back! :D

What's Up Wednesday is bloghop hosted by the lovely Jaime and Erin! Stop by their blogs and join in!

What I'm Reading

On my Kindle, Charlie Brooker's I Can Make You Hate! which is hilarious. In paperback, S J Kincaid's Vortex.

What I'm Writing

Let's hope EvilBuilding!Story doesn't die now I've named it publicly ;) Yes, that's the name I've given to the WiP that took over from RainyCity!Story. Now that I'm working fewer hours (HOORAY FOR THE END OF THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS WOO!), I'll be returning to Space!Story's editing soon too.

What Else I'm Up To

Went to Scotland over the weekend. Here's the best bits (other than seeing my brother and nearly-sister-in-law):

Many books were purchased

Loch Lomond

Luss... or rather the view of the loch from Luss

...Scotland is so beautiful. I can't wait to go back :)

Still swimming too! My personal best is 1400m... or 56 lengths of a 25m pool. It's like the first twenty hurt, the next twenty still hurt, then by about 45 lengths I'm all I COULD DO THIS ALL DAMN DAY! ...Then the pool gets too busy or they take the lanes out and I stop... but I could TOTALLY KEEP GOING! ;)

Playing Bioshock too. It's an ART DECO GAME PEOPLE. ART DECO. Also it's freaking aaaaawesome and soooooooo well made and OHMYSTARS ART DECO!

Trailer's a smidge violent, just so you know:

You all need to play this now, okay? :D

What Inspires Me

EvilBuilding!Story has to have a theme tune, right? ;)

Can't wait to catch up with you all! Wheee, here I goooooo!

  14. Welcome back, Cole! That picture of Loch Lomond is awesome. Reminds me of the lake in HP3, when Harry's flying Buckbeak. You know the scene I mean. :)

I hope your writing week is fun and productive.

I'm tempted to set a story in a loch so when someone makes a film out of my books (HAHAHAH dreaming!), they can film there ;)

  19. EvilBuilding!Story sounds cool. I love your titles, Cole. :-) So I'm assuming now that school holidays are done you'll have more time on your hands? Hope so for your sake. Ah! 1. Yes, more free time thankfully ^_^ What a relief!

*sigh* Oh Jaime, if only you were in Scotland. Then we could meet up in Fortnum's and discuss Chris Pine far more easily!

  20. I've never been to Scotland, but I really, really want to someday. A book festival in Scotland sounds like heaven to me!

I love the title of your new WIP. The names you give your writing projects always hook me in without ever having read a word of them!

The hubby and I just rewatched the Matrix recently. We hadn't watched it in years and even after all this time there were still parts of it that I found very cool. I like that music selection from the soundtrack too. Good luck with the writing and the swimming! :)

Hahah, well, I figure why be artsy when I can get straight to the point?

I haven't seen it in forever but I have the OST and I love it. I need to get it on DVD. I only have the VHS version. VHS!!!! Yikes, so outdated!

  22. Bioshock is cool and pretty creepy (you're referencing the first one, right?). I loved it visually, though I didn't get as sucked into that game as with Fallout 3. That also has retro aspects and it's still my favorite game ever.
