What's Up Wednesday!

Welcome to another edition of Erin and Jaime's What's Up Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by my humble blog. It's so lovely to meet you all!

What I'm Reading

Reached the final book in John Marsden's Tomorrow series.
So far, is every bit as good as I (vaguely) recall!

What I'm Writing

I have just finished off the fourth round of edits on Space!Story! YAY! To the betas with ye!

How did she see Star Trek eight times AND edit a book?!

I also rewrote the beginning of RainyCity!Story last night and oooooh that feels so much better! Let's hope I can focus on that story a little better now I'm finished with my edit too!

What Else I'm Up To

Work. Lots and lots and lots of childcare :P Can't wait for a week off in July.

Violin too, although it looks like I won't be able to squeeze in a lesson before mid July now due to the day job.  I'm having SO MUCH FUN learning right now! :D It's hard to explain how it is both getting easier and more challenging all at once, but it is.  So worth it though! I'm saving up to buy my own instrument as I'm renting the one I currently play.  Exciiiiiting!

What Inspires Me

Anybody else watching The Returned/Les Revenants? It's a French drama about a group of people who come back from the dead... only they don't know they died.  It's a slow burn, but it's beautifully shot and very, very engaging.

Here's the theme tune to give you a taste:

Haunting is definitely the right word for it.

Speaking of music,be sure to stop by Friday and listen to the first of Miss Cole's Top Five Soundtrack Tracks posts! Because I couldn't whittle everything down to just five, I'm separating my Top Fives into film scores, TV soundtracks and game soundtracks. I may even throw in an extra category, we'll see (*cough*anyexcusewilldo*cough).  I intend to treat you all to some amazing music for a few weeks.  Hopefully, you'll hear something awesome you've never heard before and be inspired to write a bestseller ;)

Have a great day and I'll see you Friday!

I saw Star Trek for the second time this weekend. It was even better than the first time. :) I wish I had time to see it more, but I think it's about to be out of theaters near me. But I will definitely be buying it the second it comes out. Oh man, it's so good!
