What's Up Wednesday!

Oh yes, it's time to take part in Jaime and Erin's What's Up Wednesday!

What I'm Reading

Put down whatever you're reading and get a copy of The 5th Wave. If you already own a copy of The 5th Wave, congratulations! You have made a fabulous reading selection! ENJOY!

I'm now reading John Marsden's A Killing Frost (I refuse to accept the new title of this book. REFUSE!) This book gave me nightmares when I read it as a young teen. Powerful stuff.

What I'm Writing

RainyCity!Story didn't grow much over the weekend and it's a mad week at work, so I've committed to writing 500 words a day.  Not going to be flying through this quite like Space!Story's first draft. Never mind! Every book is different.

That's one cute To Do list book!
What Else?

Seven XD

I've also compiled a fairly epic To Do list, with everything from 'Complete Space!Story's Fourth Edit' to 'Buy new trainers, these are leaking' on there.  So much to do, so little time!

What Inspires Me?

RainyCity!Story needs loads of music that inspires images of a city at night.  RainyMood.com  has a fantastic feature that allows to you listen to the rain and music.

Here's my selection!

...Rain makes the Push soundtrack sound even better to listen to!

Got any favourite Rainy Mood combos you'd like to share? ^_^

  7. It's hard to think of rainy mood music when it's nearly 8pm and 82F. It looks like Summer's finally arrived. :)

THE 5TH WAVE is already on my TBR. I'm sure it'll be on my shelf before too long. :)

  8. Wait, shouldn't the leaky shoes provide inspiration for Rainy!City story? Kidding! I have to say, if you're cranking out 500 words a day on your WIP you're still doing awesome. I keep getting stuck, so you're way ahead of me! As for To Do lists, mine got so big I just started ignoring it. I have to confess I make lists of my lists and it all gets a little crazy. Speaking of the movie Push, why on earth did they never come out with a sequel for it. I was disappointed they didn't. Ah well.

Oh, and by the way, I'm loving Lindsey Stirling's music! I gave a few of her songs a listen to on Youtube after you recommended her, and then I ended up buying her album. So glad you pointed her out!

    1. LOL! I guess they should!

Push is a great movie and really underrated. We'll never get that sequel but I guess we can imagine ;)

You are so welcome! Isn't it fantastic? She is so talented!

  10. I can't have any rainy mood music but I currently have a hometown that's reverted back to rainy days. Absolutely grey and miserable. There's not an inch of blue sky anywhere.

  11. Will take your advice on the Fifth Wave. And LOVE the Tomorrow series. I didn't even KNOW there was another name for that one, so I will happily refuse to acknowledge it as well. :0) And Hooray for epic organization skills. LOVE it.

  12. I need to get a copy of The Fifth Wave. I keep hearing so many great things about it!

  13. Move on out to Seattle, you won't need to listen to soundtracks of the rain for inspiration! I think that's part of why I love living here. :)

And I just bought my copy of THE 5TH WAVE over the weekend - it's next on my TBR list, once I'm finished with GIRL OF NIGHTMARES...and I can't wait!!!!

Best of luck in hitting your goal of 500 words a day...I know exactly how it is when work takes up so much of your time, that writing just a sentence, is hard to come by. Although I wouldn't wish getting laid off from work to anyone, it really has been EXACTLY what I've needed for way too long...and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to write on my own schedule vs. only the spare minutes in between all the crazy days of working. I hope a few hours just like this are waiting for you soon!

    1. Oh, no worries. England's pretty rainy too ;)

      ENJOY!

I just get a bit wound up when I can't write to my heart's content. I've got to learn to relax about it.
