NaNo Final Prep

With NaNoWriMo just two days away (SO EXCIIIIIITED!!!!), it's time to make the final preparations.

1) Clearing up my writing space

From this:

That, dear readers, is a writer's block desk...

To this:

There is now room for my arms and a pot of tea.  Hooray!

2) Music

I'm currently creating a massive playlist by blending together my favourite soundtracks.  Film, TV, anime, videogame... it is all in there ^^ I'll give you a taster tomorrow for the Midweek Motivator.

3) Tea

My teapot is ready for NaNo.  I wish I had more of Fortnum and Mason's Royal Blend tea though... I shall treat myself to some when I reach my first 10k :P

Oh, and 4) Having an idea

Actually, this part isn't so hard.  I've had this idea for a while and I'm SO excited to get it out :D

Good luck to all my fellow NaNoWriMoers.  You can find me here!

  1. I just cleaned up my desk the other day. I almost don't know what to do with all the space. I got myself a box of strawberry charleston chew candy for energy and I've found a youtube playlist of 106 videos of music by Joe Hisaishi (the best living composer, IMHO) to use for writing music. I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

    Good luck!

    1. Well, the playlist crashed my iTunes, so I probably won't share all of it... ;)

  4. Love the new blog look! Very clean and classy. :) I'm not as prepped for NaNo as I'd like to be. A good place to start would definitely be cleaning up my writing space. It looks like a bomb went off. O_o And I need to finish up some revisions on my current WIP before then. I have my work cut out for me tomorrow!

  7. I'm so stoked for NaNo! Maybe I should take a cue from you and clean up my writing space. It may be a bit of a mess. I don't know where it came from. Honestly. ;) Good luck!

  8. I'm glad you have a clean place to write. My desk and room is a mess. I usually do most of my work in the living room. I should clean so I can have that option though. Ahh so little time!

  9. I'm spending most of today getting prepared for NaNo. :) I'm also hoping that I can possibly stay awake for midnight. The bf and I plan on a midnight write-in and get at least the first 2000 words done.

As for a playlist, I still haven't found the right music. I think this might be the first project I've done that hasn't been inspired by music.

      I wish my playlist would stop crashing ^^;

      Good luck!

  10. Your blog looks nice :-) Cleaning up also clears your head (I'm serious, someone did a huge research on this) so good luck with filling it with al those words!
