New Project Love

Oh how good it is to have a new project! To have new characters tramping around your brain, making demands of your time.  Plot elements are coming together, the world is blossoming in your mind and all you want to do is write, write write!

I get to use a nice shiny new notebook, doodle new characters and take them on a brand new adventure full of new challenges and twists!

All is right in the world ^_^

It's really early days in my new project, but I'm soooo excited about it!!!! What can I tell you about it? Well, I can share a piece of music that's on the WiP's playlist:

Oooh what fate awaits my new characters?!?!?!?!?!

So, how do you feel about new projects?

  1. Oh how fun! I love new projects! Although--that pantser part of me makes most of my projects feel new even when I'm seven months in. Yay for shinies!

  2. I love new projects. The SNI always has me hyped up and excited. I plan, I plot, scheme, create new characters to mess up mwahahaha. It's an excuse for me to get some more notebooks too. :)

  3. It is a lot like new love, isn't it?

While on my blogging break my WIP and I had a little one-on-one time together, and now we've got that spark back. All is right with the world again. :)

  4. I'm glad to hear you're having fun with a new project. I am a plotter and than is the hardest part of the writing project for me because I try to put everything together up front. And that seriously strains my brain.

    1. I can only imagine! As a pantser, I just jump in and sort my messes out later ^_^

    2. Can I ask what your experience of writing long hand is?

How do you write fast enough? Does it ever hurt your hand to write for more than a few minutes?

Because I love writing long hand but I slow down from 2000 words per hour typing to a lot less than that with a pen (around 1000).

And how can you afford these lovely notebooks? It may just be because I'm a student but I never have enough money for these notebooks which are often £8 or more.

Oh and do you have neat handwriting?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions!

    3. My personal experience is I find it liberating to write with a pen after hours at a computer. I just write, not caring about any mistakes or whether or not it'll be in the final version. If I have an idea for a random scene, I just write it!

I write pretty fast and no, I do not have neat handwriting XD! Sometimes I struggle to read it back to myself. My hand doesn't hurt because it's used to it. I remember when I did exams it used to hurt a lot!

I worked and saved for my really nice notebooks. When I was a student, I had 99p ones from Tesco! Now I work fulltime so I can afford nice ones. One was a gift from my best friend :)

No worries about the questions! Feel free to ask anything anytime!

    4. How do you write without those anxieties?

You're so lucky you write fast. I write really slowly!

      I'm awful with exams.

Tesco have some really nice stuff but the closest one to where I live is at least two miles away and i don't drive.

      Cool thank you!

    5. You have to learn to let go and tell yourself "well, I can sort it out later. For now I just want to write!" ^_^

Yeah, I'm pretty glad I haven't had to sit any exams in a while. They are not fun.

      You're welcome!
